Dear Families and Friends,
After a grueling flight (almost 15 hours to Hong Kong and another 3 to Singapore), we are near our final destination. Early tomorrow, we will leave for Solo on the island of Java, and from there we will join our hosts. In the meantime, we’ve been sightseeing in Singapore as tourists, enjoying the funky and amuzing architecture and art of this amazing city. We shared a great dinner at a riverside restaurant and later took a lazy boat ride down the Singapore River at sunset. Our team is doing well - everyone is healthy and happy, and we look forward to serving, learning and partnering with our old and soon-to-be new friends in Indonesia. When we are able, we will provide you with another update.

Brother Mike, why am I not surprise that YOU are maintaining the weblog! Sorry I didn’t write sooner, but I didn’t realize your trip was coming up so soon. You were already in Singapore before I opened your message.
This will be an unforgettable experience. I really don’t know much of anything about Indonesia, so your blog will be helpful. Do you remember Nico Futterer? He referred to himself as “Dutch-Indonesian.” I don’t remember where he was raised before he came to the U.S. as a teenager.
I’ll be thinking of you throughout your journey. I hope you all know how very special you are.

Hey guys…
I am sure that you are not in the thick of ministry and seeing the many opportunities before you. Please be assured that we are all praying for you. Seeing the pictures was great and it looks like you are all having a great time — Don’t dring the water!!!!
